প্রাচীন বাংলার গৌরবোজ্জ্বল স্থান শ্রীবিক্রমপুর মহানগরের একাংশ বর্তমান মুন্সিগঞ্জ জেলা ইতিহাস ও ঐতিহ্যের মহিমায়পূর্ণ এক সমৃদ্ধ অঞ্চল। সমগ্র জেলা জুড়ে ছড়িয়ে আছে বিভিন্ন গৌরবময় উপাখ্যানের সাক্ষী অসংখ্য প্রাচীন নিদর্শন। এদের মধ্যে মুন্সীগঞ্জ সদর উপজেলার রামপাল ইউনিয়নের পানাম পোলঘাটা গ্রামে অবস্থিত ইট ও সুরকি ব্যবহারে তৈরি মোগল আমলের পোলঘাটা সেতু (Polghata Bridge) এক অনন্য পুরার্কীতি। মুন্সিগঞ্জ জেলা শহর থেকে ৬ কিলোমিটার দূরে নির্মিত এই সেতু টঙ্গীবাড়ি উপজেলার সাথে জেলা সদরের সাথে যোগাযোগ রক্ষা করে চলেছে।

Among them, the Mughal-era Polghata Bridge, built with brick and mortar and located in Panam Polghata village of Rampal union in Munshiganj Sadar upazila, is a unique archaeological site. Built 6 kilometers away from the Munshiganj district town, this bridge connects Tongibari upazila with the district headquarters.
