তাজহাট জমিদার বাড়ি ( Tajhat Palace ) দেখতে হলে রংপুর বিভাগীয় শহর থেকে প্রায় ৬ কিলোমিটার দূরে মাহিগঞ্জের তাজহাট গ্রামে যেতে হবে। অষ্টাদশ শতাব্দীর শেষ ভাগে রত্ন ব্যবসায়ী মান্নালাল ব্যবসায়িক কারণে মাহিগঞ্জে এসে বসবাস এবং পরবর্তীতে তাজহাট জমিদারির প্রতিষ্ঠাতা করেন। জমিদার মান্নালাল মারা যাবার পর তাঁর দত্তক পুত্র গোপাল লাল রায় বাহাদুর জমিদারি পরিচালনা শুরু করেন। বিংশ শতাব্দীর শুরুতে প্রায় ২০০০ রাজমিস্ত্রির নিরলস পরিশ্রমে বর্তমান তাজহাট জমিদার বাড়ি পূর্ণতা লাভ করে। ১৯১৭ সালে সম্পূর্ণ হওয়া এই জমিদার বাড়িটি নির্মাণ করতে তৎকালীন সময়ে প্রায় দেড় কোটি টাকা খরচ হয়।
To visit Tajhat Palace (Tajhat Zamindar Bari), you need to go to Tajhat village in Mahiganj, about 6 kilometers away from the Rangpur divisional city. In the late 18th century, a gem trader named Mannalal came to Mahiganj for business, settled there, and later founded the Tajhat Zamindari. After the death of Zamindar Mannalal, his adopted son Gopal Lal Roy Bahadur began managing the estate. At the beginning of the 20th century, through the tireless efforts of about 2,000 masons, the present Tajhat Palace was completed. Completed in 1917, the construction of this zamindar house cost around 1.5 crore taka at that time.
