Located just 8 kilometers from the Gopalganj district headquarters in Ulpur village, Ulpur Zamindar Bari stands as a testament to the might and aristocracy of the zamindars of ancient Bengal. It is known that the zamindars of Ulpur lived in a community of a hundred households. In the 20th century, Zamindar Pritish Chandra Roy Chowdhury established the Ulpur Zamindar Bari across an area of about 200 acres. Although the zamindari system has vanished with time, the buildings constructed by the zamindars of that era proudly survive as historical landmarks.
