Alamdanga Boddhovumi in Chuadanga district is known as a symbol of the brutal genocide committed by the Pakistani forces in 1971. During the Liberation War, Bengalis were brutally killed and buried in this killing field. After the country gained independence, hundreds of human skulls and bones were found in this killing field. In 2012, a monument and complex were constructed at Alamdanga Boddhovumi with the aim of presenting the history of torture by the Pakistani forces to the younger generation.
