নওগাঁ জেলা শহর থেকে ১৪ কিলোমিটার দূরে বলিহার ইউনিয়নে প্রাচীন বলিহার রাজবাড়ি (Balihar Rajbari) অবস্থিত। সম্রাট আওরঙ্গজেব কর্তৃক জায়গির লাভ করে বলিহার জমিদার এই রাজবাড়ি তৈরী করেন। যা বর্তমানে দেশের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ প্রত্নতাত্ত্বিক স্থাপনা হিসেবে সুপরিচিত। দোতালা জমিদার বাড়ির সামনে আছে বিশালাকারের তোরণ এবং ভেতরে আছে নাটমন্দির, রাজ রাজেশ্বরী মন্দির, জোড়া শিব মন্দির ও ২টি শিবলিঙ্গ। মন্দিরের দেয়ালে থাকা মূল্যবান রিলিফের কারুকার্য মন্দিরের সৌন্দর্য আরও বৃদ্ধি করেছে। ১৮২৩ সালে বলিহারের জমিদার রাজেন্দ্র লোকান্তরিত হবার পূর্বে বলিহার রাজবাড়ির দূর্গা মন্দিরে রাজ রাজেশ্বরী দেবীর অপরূপা পিতলের মূর্তি প্রতিষ্ঠা করেছিলেন। এছাড়াও প্রাচীনকালে মন্দির ভবনে অবস্থিত প্রতিটি কক্ষকে এক একটি মন্দির বলে ধারণা করা হয়।
The ancient Balihar Rajbari is located in Balihar Union, 14 kilometers away from Naogaon district town. The zamindars of Balihar built this rajbari after receiving a jagir from Emperor Aurangzeb, and it is now well-known as an important archaeological site in the country. In front of the double-storied zamindar house is a massive gateway, and inside there are a natmandir, Raj Rajeswari Temple, twin Shiva temples, and 2 shivalingas. Valuable relief carvings on the temple walls enhance its beauty even further. In 1823, before passing away, Rajendra, the zamindar of Balihar, installed a stunning brass idol of Goddess Raj Rajeswari in the Durga temple of Balihar Rajbari. It is also believed that in ancient times, each room located within the temple building functioned as a separate temple.
