গাজীপুর জেলার জয়দেবপুরে প্রায় ৫ একর জায়গার উপর কালের সাক্ষী হয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে আছে ঐতিহাসিক ভাওয়াল রাজবাড়ী (Bhawal Rajbari)। ১৯৭৮ সালে এই রাজবাড়িটিকে জেলা পরিষদ ভবন হিসেবে ঘোষণা দেওয়া হলেও বর্তমানে ভাওয়াল রাজবাড়ি জেলা প্রশাসকের কার্যালয় হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হচ্ছে। ভাওয়াল রাজবাড়ীর সাথে জড়িয়ে আছে ভাওয়াল সন্ন্যাসী রাজা রমেন্দ্র নারায়ণের কথিত মৃত্যুর ১২ বছর পর পুনঃআবির্ভাবের ইতিহাস, যাকে কেন্দ্র করে বিখ্যাত ভাওয়ালের সন্ন্যাসী মামলার সূচনা হয়। এছাড়া ভাওয়াল রাজবাড়িকে ঘিরে উত্তম কুমার অভিনীত জনপ্রিয় চলচ্চিত্র “সন্ন্যাসী রাজা” নির্মাণ করা হয়।
Standing as a silent witness to time on about 5 acres of land in Joydebpur, Gazipur district, is the historic Bhawal Rajbari. Although this palace was declared as the Zilla Parishad building in 1978, it is currently used as the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Gazipur. Associated with Bhawal Rajbari is the history of the reappearance of Raja Ramendra Narayan, the Sannyasi of Bhawal, 12 years after his purported death, which led to the famous Bhawal Sannyasi case. Additionally, the popular film “Sannyasi Raja”, starring Uttam Kumar, was made around Bhawal Rajbari.
