হবিগঞ্জ জেলার বানিয়াচং উপজেলায় বিতঙ্গল গ্রামে বিথাঙ্গল বড় আখড়া (Bithangal Bara Akhara) বা বিতঙ্গল আখড়ার অবস্থান। বৈষ্ণব ধর্মালম্বীদের অন্যতম তীর্থস্থান হিসাবে পরিচিত এই আখড়াটি ষোড়শ শতাব্দীতে রামকৃষ্ণ গোস্বামী নির্মাণ করেন। মধ্যযুগীয় স্থাপত্যশৈলীতে নির্মিত বিথাঙ্গল বড় আখড়ায় ১২০ জন বৈষ্ণবের জন্য পৃথক কক্ষ রয়েছে। এখানে যথাযোগ্য ভাবগাম্ভীর্য্যের মাধ্যমে বিভিন্ন ধর্মীয় উৎসব আয়োজন করা হয়ে থাকে। বিভিন্ন উৎসবের মধ্যে আছে আষাড় মাসের দ্বিতীয় সপ্তাহে রথযাত্রা, ফাল্গুন মাসে দোল পূর্ণিমার ৫ দিন পর পঞ্চম দোল উৎসব, কার্তিক মাসের শেষ দিনে ভোলা সংক্রান্তিতে কীর্তন, চৈত্রের অষ্টমী তিথিতে পূণ্যস্নান ও বারুনী মেলা ইত্যাদি।
Bithangal Bara Akhara (or Bithangal Akhara) is located in Bithangal village under Baniachong upazila in Habiganj district. Known as one of the pilgrimage sites for followers of the Vaishnavite faith, this akhara was built in the 16th century by Ramakrishna Goswami. Built in medieval architectural style, Bithangal Bara Akhara has separate rooms for 120 Vaishnavites. Various religious festivals are organized here with due solemnity. Among the various festivals are Rath Yatra in the second week of Ashad, the fifth Dol festival 5 days after Dol Purnima in Falgun, Kirtan on Bhola Sankranti on the last day of Kartik, holy bathing and Baruni Mela on the Ashtami tithi of Chaitra, and others.
