বাগেরহাট জেলা থেকে ৩৫ কিলোমিটার দূরে ষাটগম্বুজ ইউনিয়নের চুনাখোলা গ্রামে প্রাচীন পুরাকীর্তির এক অনন্য নিদর্শন চুনাখোলা মসজিদ (Chuna Khola Mosque) অবস্থিত। ধারণা করা হয়, ১৫ শতকে হযরত খান জাহান (রঃ) এর এক অনুগত কর্মচারী মধ্যযুগীয় স্থাপত্যে এই মসজিদটি নির্মাণ করেন। হযরত খান জাহান আলী (রঃ) বিভিন্ন স্থাপনায় ব্যবহারের প্রয়োজনীয় চুন উৎপাদনের জন্য চুনখোলা কেন্দ্র স্থাপন করেন। ফলে পোড়ামাটির অলংকরণে নির্মিত মসজিদটি চুনাখোলা মসজিদ হিসেবে পরিচিতি পায়।

Located 35 kilometres from Bagerhat district in Chunakhola village of Shat Gambuj Union, the Chuna Khola Mosque is a unique example of ancient archaeology. It is believed that a loyal employee of Hazrat Khan Jahan (R) built this mosque in medieval architectural style during the 15th century. Hazrat Khan Jahan Ali (R) established the Chunakhola centre to produce lime needed for various structures. Consequently, the mosque, built with terracotta ornamentation, came to be known as the Chuna Khola Mosque.
