ফরিদপুর সদর থেকে ৭ কিলোমিটার দূরে গেরদা গ্রামে অবস্থিত গেরদা মসজিদের পশ্চিম দেয়ালে আরবি ভাষায় লেখা পাথরের এক বিশেষ ফলক রয়েছে, এই ফলকটিই গেরদা ফলক (Gerda Folok) হিসেবে পরিচিত। ধারণা করা হয়, ১০১৩ হিজরি বা ১৬০৪ খ্রিষ্টাব্দে লেখা মূলত এই ফলককে কেন্দ্র করে গেরদা মসজিদটি নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে। আর ফলকটি নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে শাহ্ আলী বাগদাদি নির্মিত প্রাচীন এক মসজিদের ভগ্নাংশের উপর।
Located on the western wall of the Gerda Mosque in Gerda village, 7 kilometers from Faridpur Sadar, is a special stone plaque inscribed in Arabic. This plaque is known as the Gerda Folok. It is believed that the Gerda Mosque was built around this plaque, which dates back to 1013 Hijri or 1604 AD. The plaque itself was built on the ruins of an ancient mosque constructed by Shah Ali Baghdadi.
