বগুড়া জেলার সান্তাহারের ছাতিয়ানগ্রামে রানী ভবানীর জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। সংস্কার এবং সংরক্ষণের অভাবে রানী ভবানীর বাপের বাড়ি (Rani Bhabani’s Father House) আজ ধ্বংসের পথে। প্রচলিত আছে সপ্তদশ শতাব্দীতে ছাতিয়ানগ্রামের জমিদার আতারাম চৌধুরী ছিলেন নিঃসন্তান। আতারাম চৌধুরী সন্তান লাভের আশায় বাড়ীর কাছে নির্জন পুকুর পাড়ে ঈশ্বরের উদ্দেশ্যে পূজা-অর্চনা করেন। পরবর্তীতে তার স্ত্রীর গর্ভে ফুটফুটে কন্যা সন্তানের জন্ম হলে তার নাম রাখা হয় ভবানী। জমিদার যেস্থানে সাধনা করে সিদ্ধি লাভ করেন সে জায়গাটি সিদ্ধেশ্বরী নামে পরিচিত হয়ে উঠে।
Rani Bhabani was born in Chhatiangram of Santahar in Bogura district. Due to a lack of renovation and conservation, Rani Bhabani’s Father House is now on the verge of ruin. It is commonly said that in the 17th century, Ataram Chowdhury, the landlord of Chhatiangram, was childless. In the hope of having a child, Ataram Chowdhury worshipped God by the secluded pond near his house. Later, a radiant baby girl was born to his wife, and she was named Bhabani. The place where the landlord achieved spiritual fulfillment through meditation became known as Siddheshwari.
