Located 1.5 kilometers away from Chandra Bazar in Faridganj Upazila of Chandpur district, Lohagarh Moth is a traditional ancient structure. Two tyrannical and powerful brothers from a zamindar family, named Loha and Gahar, built this moth along the banks of the Dakatia River as the site of their zamindar house, and the village and the moth were named after them. The nearly 200-year-old Lohagarh Moth currently features 3 moths of different heights, palace ruins, and subterranean cavities. The largest moth is artistically crafted and distinct from the others. Standing as a silent witness to the oppression of the past zamindars, Lohagarh Moth has become one of the notable sightseeing spots in Chandpur.
