Sujabad Kella is a historical structure located in Sujabad village under the number 2 Magor Union of Nalchity Upazila in Jhalakathi District. It was built by Shahzada Shuja, the Subahdar of Bengal and son of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. In the late Mughal period, the Jhalakathi region became a primary target for plunder by Magh and Portuguese pirates. To punish the pirates, Shahzada Shuja, son of the Subahdar of Bengal, established two forts in Sujabad village in 1654. One of the two forts was made of earth and the other of brick, which were known at the time as the inner and outer forts.
