ঝিনাইদহ জেলা থেকে ২০ কিলোমিটার দূরে হরিশংকরপুরে নবগঙ্গা নদীর তীরে জগদ্বিখ্যাত গণিতবিদ কে পি বসুর বাড়ি অবস্থিত। ১৯০৭ সালে কে পি বসু হরিশংকরপুরে ১৭ কক্ষ বিশিষ্ট প্রাসাদাকার দ্বিতল ভবনটি নির্মাণ করেন। বর্তমানে বাড়িটি অরক্ষিতভাবে জরাজীর্ণ অবস্থায় পড়ে থাকলেও এক সময়ের দৃষ্টিনন্দন বাড়িটি দেখতে অনেক দর্শনার্থীর আগমন ঘটে। বিখ্যাত এই গণিত বিদের স্মৃতিতে ঝিনাইদহ জেলায় একটি সড়কও নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে।
The house of the world-renowned mathematician K. P. Basu is located on the banks of the Nabaganga River in Harishankarpur, 20 kilometers away from Jhenaidah district. In 1907, K. P. Basu built this 17-room, palatial two-story building in Harishankarpur. Although the house currently lies unprotected and in a dilapidated state, many visitors still come to see the once-magnificent structure. A road has also been built in Jhenaidah district in memory of this famous mathematician.
