মানিকগঞ্জ জেলা সদরে অবস্থিত মত্ত মঠ (Matta Moth) একটি ঐতিহাসিক স্থাপত্য নিদর্শন। জানা যায়, প্রায় আড়াইশত বছর পূর্বে পটল গ্রামে হেমসেন নামে একজন অত্যাচারী জমিদার তাঁর পিতার শেষকৃত্য স্থলে এ মঠ নির্মাণ করেন। নিটল দিঘির পাড়ে ১৫ শতাংশ জমির উপর নির্মিত মঠের উচ্চতা প্রায় ২০০ ফুট উঁচু। মত্তের মঠ নির্মাণের জন্য ইরাক থেকে কারিগর আনা হয়েছিল।
Located at the Manikganj district headquarters, Matta Moth is a historical architectural landmark. It is known that about two and a half centuries ago, a tyrannical zamindar named Hemsen built this math at his father’s cremation site in Potal village. Built on 15 decimals of land on the banks of Nitol Dighi, the math is about 200 feet high. Artisans were brought from Iraq to construct the Matta Moth.
