বালাপুর জমিদার বাড়ি (Balapur Zamindar Bari) রাজধানী ঢাকার কাছে একদিনের ভ্রমণের জন্য চমৎকার একটি দর্শনীয় স্থান। নরসিংদী সদরের পাইকারচর ইউনিয়নের বালাপুর গ্রামে ঐতিহ্যবাহী বালাপুর জমিদার বাড়িটি অবস্থিত। মেঘনা নদীর তীরে প্রায় ৩২০ বিঘা জমির ওপর জমিদার নবীন চন্দ্র সাহা দৃষ্টিনন্দন কারুকার্যমন্ডিত জমিদার বাড়িটি তৈরি করেন। বিলাসবহুল বালাপুর জমিদার বাড়িতে ১০৩ টি মোজাইক করা, দরজা-জানালায় ফুল লতাপাতা নকশা করা সুসজ্জিত কক্ষ ছিল। প্রধান ভবনের পূর্বে তিনতলা, উত্তরে একতলা, দক্ষিণে দ্বিতীয় তলা এবং পশ্চিমে একটি বিশাল প্রবেশদ্বার সহ একটি দ্বিতীয়তলা বিশিষ্ট ভবন রয়েছে। প্রতিটি ভবনে মনোমুগ্ধকর কারুকার্য দেখতে পাওয়া যায়।
Balapur Zamindar Bari is a wonderful tourist spot for a day trip near the capital Dhaka. The traditional Balapur Zamindar Bari is located in Balapur village of Paikarchar union in Narsingdi Sadar. Zamindar Nabin Chandra Saha built this aesthetically crafted zamindar house on about 320 bighas of land on the banks of the Meghna River. The luxurious Balapur Zamindar Bari had 103 mosaic-floored, well-decorated rooms with floral and vine designs on the doors and windows. To the east of the main building is a three-story structure, to the north a one-story, to the south a two-story, and to the west a two-story building with a massive gateway. Charming craftsmanship can be seen in every building.
