সাতক্ষীরা জেলা শহর থেকে মাত্র ৬ কিলোমিটার দূরে ঝাউডাঙ্গা ইউনিয়েনের ছয়ঘরিয়া গ্রামের এক বিশাল দীঘির পাড়ে জোড়া শিবমন্দির দুটি অবস্থিত। বৈচিত্রপূর্ণ টেরাকোটা ইটে নির্মিত জোড়া শিবমন্দির এ অঞ্চলের মানুষের কাছে ছয়ঘরিয়া জোড়া শিবমন্দির নামে পরিচিত। বাংলা ১২২০ সনের ১ বৈশাখ ফকিরচাঁদ ঘোষ জোড়া শিবমন্দির দুটি নির্মাণ করেন। ১৫ ফুট ৯ ইঞ্চি মাপের বর্গাকৃতির মন্দিরের গায়ের টেরাকোটায় ফুল, লতা-পাতা, বাদক, পরি, দেবদেবী, অশ্বারোহী ইত্যাদির নকশা ফুটিয়ে তোলা হয়েছে। বর্তমানে ছয়ঘরিয়া জোড়া শিবমন্দির দুটো পরিত্যক্ত অবস্থায় থাকলেও আগ্রহী দর্শনার্থীরা টেরাকোটার অপূর্ব কাজ দেখতে ছয়ঘরিয়া ছুটে আসেন।
The twin Shiva temples are located on the bank of a vast pond in Chhaygharia village of Zhaudanga Union, just 6 kilometers from Satkhira district town. Built with diverse terracotta bricks, the twin Shiva temples are known to the local people as Chhaygharia Jora Shiva Mandir. Fakirchand Ghosh built the two Shiva temples on 1 Baishakh 1220 BS. The terracotta on the walls of the square-shaped temples, measuring 15 feet 9 inches, depicts flowers, vines, musicians, fairies, deities, horsemen, and other designs. Although the Chhaygharia twin Shiva temples are currently in an abandoned state, interested visitors rush to Chhaygharia to see the exquisite terracotta work.
