শেরপুর জেলা শহরে প্রবেশের পর সর্বপ্রথম ঐতিহ্যবাহী মাইসাহেবা জামে মসজিদ (Mai Saheba Jame Masjid) নজরে আসে। আনুমানিক ২৫০ বছর পূর্বে নির্মিত এই মসজিদেটি বিভিন্ন সময় সংস্কার করা হলেও তাতে ঐতিহ্যের ছাপ স্পষ্ট লক্ষ্য করা যায়। শেরপুর শহরের প্রাণকেন্দ্র শেরপুর সরকারি কলেজের দক্ষিণ পাশে অবস্থিত মাইসাহেবা মসজিদের দুইটি সুউচ্চ মিনার শহরের বিভিন্ন প্রান্ত থেকে দৃষ্টিগোচর হয়।
Upon entering the Sherpur district town, the traditional Mai Saheba Jame Masjid is the first landmark that catches the eye. Built approximately 250 years ago, this mosque has been renovated at various times, yet the imprint of its heritage remains clearly visible. Located in the heart of Sherpur town, on the south side of Sherpur Government College, the two towering minarets of Mai Saheba Mosque are visible from various parts of the city.
