মসজিদের শহর বাগেরহাটের ঠাকুর দীঘির পশ্চিম পাড়ে এবং খানজাহান (রঃ) এর সমাধির দক্ষিণ-পূর্বে ঐতিহাসিক নয় গম্বুজ মসজিদ (Nine Dome Mosque) অবস্থিত। ১৫ শতাব্দীতে নির্মিত বর্গাকৃতির এই মসজিদের প্রতিটি দেয়ালের দৈর্ঘ্য ১৫.২৪ মিটার এবং পুরুত্ব ২.২৩ মিটার। মসজিদের ছাদে রয়েছে নয়টি অর্ধ বৃত্তাকার গম্বুজ। গম্বুজগুলোকে স্থায়িত্ব প্রদানের জন্য মসজিদের অভ্যন্তরে চারটি বিশেষ স্তম্ভ রয়েছে। মসজিদের পূর্ব, উত্তর ও দক্ষিণ দিকের দেয়ালে ৩টি করে প্রবেশ পথ প্রত্যক্ষ করা যায়। আর পশ্চিম দিকের দেয়ালে আছে ৩টি সুদৃশ্য মিহরাব।
The historic Nine Dome Mosque is located on the western bank of Thakur Dighi and to the southeast of the mausoleum of Khan Jahan (R.) in the mosque city of Bagerhat. Built in the 15th century, this square mosque has walls that are 15.24 meters long and 2.23 meters thick. The roof of the mosque features nine semi-circular domes. There are four special pillars inside the mosque to provide stability to the domes. Three entrances can be seen on each of the eastern, northern, and southern walls of the mosque, while the western wall has three graceful mihrabs.
