চাঁদপুর জেলা শহরের প্রাণকেন্দ্র মুক্তিযোদ্ধা সড়কের পাশের লেকে ১৯৭১ সালে মহান মুক্তিযুদ্ধে শহীদদের স্মরণে অঙ্গীকার ভাস্কর্য (Ongikar Monument) নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে। ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কলা ভবনের সামনে অবস্থিত অপরাজেয় বাংলা ভাস্কর্যের স্থপতি সৈয়দ আবদুল্লাহ খালিদ এটি নির্মাণ করেন। চাঁদপুরের কেন্দ্রীয় স্মৃতিসৌধ হিসেবে খ্যাত ১৫ ফুট উচ্চতার অঙ্গীকার ভাস্কর্য তৈরিতে সিমেন্ট, পাথর এবং লোহা ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে।
Ongikar Monument has been built in the lake beside Muktijoddha Road at the heart of Chandpur district town in memory of the martyrs of the great Liberation War of 1971. It was sculpted by Syed Abdullah Khalid, the creator of Oporajeyo Bangla located in front of the Faculty of Arts building at the University of Dhaka. Known as the central monument of Chandpur, the 15-foot-tall Ongikar Monument was made using cement, stone, and iron.
