মৌলভীবাজার জেলার বড়লেখা উপজেলায় অবস্থিত পাথারিয়া পাহাড় স্থানীয়দের কাছে আদম আইল হিসেবে পরিচিত। বড়লেখা থেকে ভারতের পূর্ব সীমান্তবর্তী খাসিয়া-জয়ন্তীয়া উচ্চভূমির আসাম অংশের ২৫ কিলোমিটার পর্যন্ত পাথারিয়া পাহাড়ি অঞ্চলের বিস্তৃতি। প্রায় ১০০০ বছর আগে এই অঞ্চলটি গভীর অরণ্যে পূর্ণ ছিল। সেসময় পাথরি নামক নাগা জনগোষ্ঠীর একটি উপশাখার অধিবাসীরা এখানে বসবাস করতো। এই জনগোষ্ঠীর সাথে মিল রেখে এই অরণ্য অঞ্চলের নামকরণ করা হয় পাথরিয়া।

Located in Juri Upazila of Moulvibazar District, Patharia Hills is known to locals as Adam Ail. The Patharia hilly region extends 25 kilometers from Barlekha to the Assam portion of the Khasi-Jaintia highlands on the eastern border of India. About 1000 years ago, this region was covered with deep forests. At that time, inhabitants of a sub-branch of the Naga community named Pathari lived here. Named after this community, this forest region was called Patharia.

কীভাবে যাবেন: ঢাকা বা যেকোনো প্রান্ত থেকে বাসে বা ট্রেনে প্রথমে মৌলভীবাজার জেলা সদরে আসতে হবে। সেখান থেকে লোকাল সিএনজি বা চান্দের গাড়িতে করে পাহাড়ি ট্রেইল পয়েন্টে গিয়ে বাকি পথ হেঁটে যেতে হয়।
