Located in Mohammadpur, Dhaka, the Sat Gambuj Mosque is a historical archaeological site built during the Mughal period. Because of a total of seven domes—three large ones on the roof and four smaller domes on the four corner towers—the mosque easily came to be known as the Sat Gambuj Mosque. Umid Khan, the son of Mughal Subahdar Shaista Khan, built this Sat Gambuj Mosque in 1680. The Sat Gambuj Mosque shares many similarities with the Lalbagh Fort Mosque and the Khwaja Ambar Mosque.
