বরিশালের দক্ষিণাঞ্চলের জেলা ঝালকাঠি থেকে ২১ কিলোমিটার দূরে রাজাপুর উপজেলায় বাংলার বাঘ হিসেবে পরিচিত এ কে এম ফজলুল হকের জন্মস্থান সাতুরিয়া জমিদার বাড়ি অবস্থিত। ১৭শ শতকে ফজলুল হকের মাতামহ শেখ শাহাবুদ্দিন সাতুরিয়ায় ১০০ একর জায়গার উপর এই জমিদার বাড়ী প্রতিষ্ঠা করেন। মুঘল স্থাপত্যে নির্মাণ করা জমিদার বাড়ীর কমপাউন্ডটি ৩টি ভবনের সমন্বয়ে গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে। কমপাউন্ডে প্রবেশের জন্য রয়েছে কারুকার্য খচিত প্রধান ফটক। মূল বাড়ির ভিতরে ফুলের বাগান, পুকুর ও কারুকার্যখচিত মুঘল আমলের ভবনগুলো বাড়ীর সৌন্দর্য বহুগুণ বাড়িয়ে তুলেছে।
Located in Rajapur upazila, 21 kilometers away from the southern district of Jhalokathi in Barishal, is the Saturia Zamindar Bari, the birthplace of A. K. Fazlul Huq, known as the Tiger of Bengal. In the 17th century, Fazlul Huq’s maternal grandfather, Sheikh Shahabuddin, established this zamindar house on 100 acres of land in Saturia. Built in Mughal architecture, the zamindar house compound consists of 3 buildings. There is an ornate main gate to enter the compound. Inside the main house, flower gardens, a pond, and ornate Mughal-era buildings enhance the beauty of the house manifold.
