বাগেরহাট সদর উপজেলায় ষাট গম্বুজ মসজিদ থেকে ৮০০ মিটার পশ্চিমে ঘোড়া দীঘির পাড়ে অবস্থিত বিবি বেগনী মসজিদ (Bibi Begni Mosque) একটি প্রত্ততাত্ত্বিক স্থাপনা। ধারণা করা হয়, পঞ্চদশ শতকে খান জাহান আলীর আমলে মসজিদটি নির্মাণ করা হয়। মসজিদের নামকরণের ব্যাপারে সঠিকভাবে জানা যায় না গেলেও অনেকের মতে, বিবি বেগনী সম্ভবত খান জাহান (রঃ) এর একজন ঘনিষ্ঠ অনুসারী বা খান-ই-জাহানে স্ত্রী ছিলেন। আর তার নামানুসারেই মসজিদটির নামকরণ করা হয়। বিবি বেগনি মসজিদের স্থাপত্যের সাথে বাগেরহাটের সিঙ্গাইর মসজিদের মিল রয়েছে।
Located on the bank of Ghora Dighi, 800 meters west of the Sixty Dome Mosque in Bagerhat Sadar Upazila, Bibi Begni Mosque is an archaeological structure. It is believed that the mosque was built in the 15th century during the reign of Khan Jahan Ali. Although the exact origin of the mosque’s name is not known, many believe that Bibi Begni was likely a close follower or a wife of Khan Jahan (R). The mosque was named after her. The architecture of the Bibi Begni Mosque bears similarities to the Singair Mosque in Bagerhat.
