ধনবাড়ি নবাব মঞ্জিল বাংলাদেশের অন্যতম জমিদার বাড়ি ও একমাত্র ঐতিহ্যবাহী রিসোর্ট। এই রিসোর্টটির অন্যতম আকর্ষণ হচ্ছে ধনবাড়ি মসজিদ (Dhanbari Masjid) বা নবাব মসজিদ। ধনবাড়ি নবাব মঞ্জিলের রয়েল রিসোর্টের পাশে শোভা বৃদ্ধি করে আছে প্রায় ৭০০ বছরের পুরনো এই ঐতিহ্যবাহী মসজিদটি। মোগল স্থাপত্য শৈলীতে নির্মিত ধনবাড়ি মসজিদের মোজাইক ও মেঝের মার্বেল পাথরে নিপুণ কারুকার্য স্থান পেয়েছে। প্রায় ১০ কাঠা জমির ওপরে নির্মিত এই ধনবাড়ি মসজিদ আগে দেখতে আয়তকার হলেও বিভিন্ন সময়ে সংস্কারের পর বর্তমানে এটি দেখতে বর্গাকৃতির রুপ লাভ করেছে। মসজিদের পূর্বদিকে খাঁজবিশিষ্ট খিলানযুক্ত ৩ টি এবং উত্তর-দক্ষিণে আরো একটি করে মোট ৫ টি প্রবেশপথ রয়েছে। নবাব মসজিদ এর পাশের কক্ষে নবাব বাহাদুর সৈদয় নওয়াব আলী চৌধুরীর মাজার রয়েছে। ১৯২৯ সালে নবাবের মৃত্যুর পর থেকে এই মাজারে ২৪ ঘণ্টাই পবিত্র কোরআন তিলাওয়াত করা হচ্ছে হচ্ছে, যা আজ অবধি ১ মিনিটের জন্যও বন্ধ হয়নি। বর্তমানে সাত জন কারি প্রতি দুই ঘণ্টা পরপর কোরআন তিলাওয়াত করেন।
Dhanbari Nawab Manzil is one of the zamindar houses and the only traditional resort in Bangladesh. A major attraction of this resort is the Dhanbari Masjid (Dhanbari Masjid) or Nawab Mosque. Enhancing the beauty beside the royal resort of Dhanbari Nawab Manzil, this traditional mosque is about 700 years old. Built in Mughal architectural style, the mosque features exquisite craftsmanship in its mosaic work and marble flooring. Built on about 10 katha of land, the Dhanbari Mosque was originally rectangular in shape, but after various renovations, it now has a square shape. There are a total of 5 entrances to the mosque: 3 fluted arched entrances on the east side and one each on the north and south sides. In the room adjacent to the Nawab Mosque lies the shrine of Nawab Bahadur Syed Nawab Ali Chowdhury. Since the Nawab’s death in 1929, the Holy Quran has been recited continuously 24 hours a day at this shrine, which has not stopped for even a single minute up to the present day. Currently, seven Qaris recite the Quran in shifts every two hours.
