গোপালগঞ্জ জেলার ভাটিয়াপাড়ায় মধুমতি নদীর তীরে ঐতিহাসিক গিরিশ চন্দ্র সেনের জমিদার বাড়ি (Zamindar Girish Chandra Sen’s House) অবস্থিত। জমিদার গিরীশ চন্দ্র সেন কত সালে এই বাড়িটি নির্মাণ করেছিলেন তা সঠিকভাবে জানা যায়নি। ইংরেজি U বর্ণের প্যাটার্ণে তৈরী দৃষ্টিনন্দন জমিদার বাড়ির মাঝের অংশটিতে একটি দ্বিতল ভবণ এবং দুইপাশে একতলা ভবন রয়েছে। দোতালার অংশে রয়েছে দুইটি কক্ষ ও দুইটি বারান্দা। তিন দিকে প্রাচীর বেষ্টিত জমিদার বাড়ির বামপাশে একটি মন্দির ও ডান পাশে ছনের তৈরী একটি কাছারি ঘর ছিল। মূল ভবনের পিছনের দিকে থাকা তিন কক্ষ বিশিষ্ট একতলা ভবনটি রন্ধনশালা হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হত। প্রচুর বৃক্ষরাজিতে ঘেরা জমিদার বাড়ির সামনে আছে একটি পুকুর, যা জমিদার গিরীশ চন্দ্র সেন স্থানীয় জনগণদের জন্য খনন করেছিলেন। বর্তমানে কাশিয়ানি এম.এ খালেক ডিগ্রি কলেজের প্রাক্তন অধ্যক্ষ গিরিশ চন্দ্র সেনের জমিদার বাড়িতে বসবাস করছেন।
The historic Zamindar Girish Chandra Sen’s House is located on the banks of the Madhumati River in Bhatiapara, Gopalganj District. It is not precisely known in which year Zamindar Girish Chandra Sen built this house. Built in the pattern of the English letter U, the attractive zamindar house features a two-story building in the middle and single-story buildings on both sides. The second floor has two rooms and two verandas. Enclosed by walls on three sides, the zamindar house had a temple on the left and a thatched kachari (administrative) room on the right. The three-room single-story building at the back of the main building was used as a kitchen. Surrounded by numerous trees, there is a pond in front of the zamindar house, which was excavated by Zamindar Girish Chandra Sen for the local people. Currently, Girish Chandra Sen, the former principal of Kashiayani M.A. Khaleq Degree College, lives in the zamindar house.
