প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্যের আধার রাঙ্গামাটি জেলার ভেদভেদী এলাকা সংলগ্ন কাপ্তাই হৃদের কোল ঘেঁষে হ্যাপি আইল্যান্ড (Happy Island) গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে। মনোরম সবুজ প্রকৃতি ও চমৎকার নির্মাণশৈলীর এই দ্বীপটি মূলত একটি ওয়াটার পার্ক। বাংলাদেশ সেনাবাহিনীর ৩০৫ ইনফ্যান্ট্রি ব্রিগেডের উদ্যোগে প্রায় দুই বছরের দীর্ঘ প্রচেষ্টায় কাপ্তাই লেক পরিবেষ্টিত একটি টিলার উপর ২০১৮ সালের ২৩ এপ্রিল এই অসাধারণ ওয়াটার আইল্যান্ডটি উদ্বোধন করা হয়।
Happy Island has been developed right beside Kaptai Lake, adjacent to the Bhedbhedi area of Rangamati district, a reservoir of natural beauty. This island, featuring scenic green nature and wonderful architecture, is primarily a water park. Initiated by the 305 Infantry Brigade of the Bangladesh Army and following nearly two years of dedicated effort, this extraordinary water island was inaugurated on April 23, 2018, atop a hill surrounded by Kaptai Lake.
