কাজী কাদের নওয়াজ ছিলেন বিশিষ্ট কবি, শিক্ষাবিদ এবং সাহিত্যানুরাগী। সাহিত্যের প্রায় সব শাখাতেই তাঁর পারদর্শিতা থাকলেও কবিতার প্রতি ছিল বিশেষ আকর্ষণ। রবীন্দ্র ভাব বলয়ের প্রভাব থাকলেও কবির রচনায় স্বকীয়তা ছিল চোখে পড়ার মত। প্রেম, প্রকৃতি, দেশ, সত্য ও সুন্দরের প্রতি আহবান ছিল তাঁর কবিতার মূল্য উপজীব্য। তৎকালীন সময়ে কবির অসংখ্য লেখাই বিভিন্ন পত্র-পত্রিকায় প্রকাশিত হতো। বর্তমানে ‘শিক্ষাগুরুর মর্যাদা’ কবিতাটি বাংলাদেশে পঞ্চম শ্রেণীতে পড়ানো হয়।
Kazi Kader Nawaz was a prominent poet, educator, and literature enthusiast. Although he showed proficiency in almost all branches of literature, he had a special inclination towards poetry. Despite the influence of the Rabindranth Tagore literary circle, the poet’s writings possessed noticeable originality. Calls for love, nature, country, truth, and beauty were the core themes of his poetry. Countless writings by the poet were published in various newspapers and magazines at that time. Currently, his poem ‘Shikkhagurur Morjada’ is taught in the fifth grade in Bangladesh.
