Khoa Sagor Dighi, a massive ~300-year-old pond, is located on the east side of the Lakshmipur-Raipur road in the Dalal Bazar area of Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila. Spanning about 25 acres, looking from one end of the pond to the other gives the impression that it is covered in fog. For this reason, in the local dialect of Lakshmipur, the pond is called ‘Khoa’ or the foggy pond. According to locals, about two centuries ago, Brajaballabh Roy, the zamindar of Dalal Bazar, excavated this pond around 1755. Later, Zamindar Raja Gour Kishore Roy renovated the pond.
