বিশ্বের সবচেয়ে বড় ম্যানগ্রোভ বনভূমি সুন্দরবনের বৈচিত্রময় স্থান গুলোর মধ্যে কটকা অন্যতম। মোংলা বন্দর থেকে কটকার দূরত্ব প্রায় ৯০ কিলোমিটার। সুন্দরবনের প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্য্য উপভোগ করার জন্য কটকাতে রয়েছে ৪০ ফুট উঁচু একটি ওয়াচ টাওয়ার। কটকা ওয়াচ টাওয়ার থেকে সোজা উত্তরে কটকা সমুদ্র সৈকত। স্থানীয়দের কাছে কটকা সমুদ্র সৈকতটি জামতলা সমুদ্র সৈকত হিসাবে পরিচিত। বেশ নির্জন ও পরিচ্ছন্ন সৈকতের বেলাভূমিজুড়ে চোখে পড়ে কাঁকড়াদের শিল্পকর্ম। কটকা সৈকতটি সোজা পূর্বদিকে কচিখালিতে গিয়ে মিশেছে। এই সৈকতে ঢেউয়ের আকার অত্যন্ত পরিবর্তনশীল এবং অজ্ঞাত চোরাবালি জন্য পানিতে নামা বেশ ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ।
Katka is one of the most diverse locations in the Sundarbans, the world’s largest mangrove forest. The distance from Mongla Port to Katka is about 90 kilometers. To enjoy the natural beauty of the Sundarbans, there is a 40-foot-high watchtower in Katka. Directly north of the Katka Watchtower is Katka Sea Beach. Locally, Katka Sea Beach is known as Jamtala Sea Beach. The shoreline of this rather secluded and clean beach is filled with the artwork of crabs. Katka Beach extends straight east to merge with Kachikhali. The wave action on this beach is highly variable, and entering the water is quite risky due to unknown quicksands.
