In 1649, Mirza Safi Khan was appointed as the Faujdar of Jashore. He was the son-in-law of Shah Shuja, the Subahdar of Bengal. The residential area of Mirza Safi Khan was named Mirzanagar, located at the confluence of the Kopotaksho and Buribhadra rivers, 7 kilometers away from the Keshabpur upazila headquarters. The Nawab palace in Mirzanagar features a magnificent hammamkhana, known as the Mirzanagar Hammamkhana. Although the Nawab palace is now mostly in ruins, the hammamkhana still exists, and visitors from far and wide gather in Mirzanagar to see this artifact from the Mughal era.
