The Dargah Sharif of Hazrat Syed Ahmad (R) in Kharampur, Akhaura upazila of Brahmanbaria district, is widely known across Bangladesh as Kella Shahid Mazar. According to legend, fishermen from the Kharampur area used to catch fish in the Titas River. One day while fishing, a severed head got caught in a net. When Chaitanya Das and other fishermen nervously tried to lift the head, the severed head miraculously began to speak. The head declared that a believer and a non-believer can never be united, and commanded them not to touch the head until they recited the Kalima and became Muslims. Hearing this, the Hindu fishermen recited the Kalima and converted to Islam. Following the instructions of the severed head, it was buried in the Kharampur graveyard. Those converted fishermen are the original descendants of Kella Shahid Mazar.
