Kumarikundo is a mythological region surrounded by the green hills of Sitakunda in Chattogram District. Countless streams and waterfalls of various sizes are hidden within the folds of the hills, representing unique wonders of nature. Amidst the mysterious atmosphere of the hills, the ruins of an ancient temple have been discovered in one such stream, known as Kumarikundo. In ancient times, Hindus considered hot springs to be very sacred. Kumarikundo shares similarities with temples built around gas-lit fire pits emitting bubbles, such as Labonakkhundo and Agnikundo located in Sitakunda. Over the course of time, the main pilgrimage site has shifted by about 10 kilometers, and various structures made of old bricks have been buried under the soil.
