চট্টগ্রাম শহরের জিরো পয়েন্টের কাছে নন্দনকান বৌদ্ধ মন্দির সড়কে অবস্থিত ডিসি হিল/ডিসির পাহাড়ের বর্তমান নাম নজরুল স্কয়ার (Nazrul Square)। চারপাশে সুউচ্চ গাছগাছালিতে ঘেরা এই পাহাড়ের চূড়ায় চট্টগ্রাম জেলা কমিশনারের সরকারী বাসভবন রয়েছে। ইংরেজ শাসনামলে শুরুর দিকে এই পাহাড়ের চূড়ায় চাকমা রাজার বাড়ি ছিল। সেই ধারাবাহিকতায় এখানে চট্টগ্রাম জেলা প্রশাসকের বাংলো তৈরী করা হলে পাহাড়টি ডিসি হিল নামে পরিচিত হয়ে উঠে। জাতীয় কবি কাজী নজরুল ইসলাম প্রায়শই এখানে অবসর সময় কাটাতে আসতেন। তাঁর এই আগমনকে অম্লান করে রাখতে ২০০৫ সালের ১০ এপ্রিল ডিসি হিলের নাম পরিবর্তন করে নজরুল স্কয়ার রাখা হয়।
Nazrul Square is the current name of DC Hill / DC’s Hill, located on Nandankanan Buddhist Temple Road near the zero point of Chattogram city. Surrounded by tall trees, the official residence of the Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram is located at the top of this hill. During the early British rule, there was a Chakma king’s house at the top of this hill. Following that, when the Deputy Commissioner’s bungalow of Chattogram was built here, the hill came to be known as DC Hill. National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam often used to come here to spend his leisure time. To commemorate his visits, DC Hill was renamed Nazrul Square on 10 April 2005.
