বর্তমানে কক্সবাজার ভ্রমণের সবচেয়ে আকর্ষণীয় বিষয় হলো পৃথিবীর দীর্ঘতম মেরিন ড্রাইভ রোড (Marine Drive Road) । ৮০ কিলোমিটার দীর্ঘ এই রোড কক্সবাজারের কলাতলী থেকে শুরু হয়ে টেকনাফ পর্যন্ত বিস্তৃত। মেরিন ড্রাইভ রোডের এক দিকে রয়েছে উত্তাল সমুদ্র সৈকত আর অন্য দিকে রয়েছে সবুজের ঢাকা ছোট-বড় পাহাড়। আবার কোথাও কোথাও পাহাড়ের গা বেয়ে ঝর্ণা ধারার দেখা মিলে। মেরিন ড্রাইভ রোড দিয়ে যেতে যেতে বিস্তৃত সাগরের সমস্ত সৌন্দর্য্য আহরণ ও জেলেদের সাগরে মাছ ধরার দৃশ্য উপভোগ করা যায়। সেই সাথে সমুদ্র সৈকতে দেখা মিলবে টেকনাফ গর্জন ফরেস্ট খ্যাত চিরহরিৎ বন। কক্সবাজারের থেকে খোলা জিপ, মাইক্রোবাস, সিএনজি কিংবা অটোরিকশায় মেরিন ড্রাইভ রোড দিয়ে হিমছড়ি ও ইনানী সমুদ্র সৈকত যাওয়া যায়।
Currently, the most exciting attraction of a trip to Cox’s Bazar is the world’s longest Marine Drive Road. This 80-kilometre-long road stretches from Kolatoli in Cox’s Bazar to Teknaf. On one side of the Marine Drive Road is the turbulent sea beach, and on the other are small and large hills covered in greenery. In some places, waterfalls trickle down the sides of the hills. As you travel along the Marine Drive Road, you can take in all the beauty of the vast sea and enjoy the sight of fishermen catching fish in the ocean. Along the beach, you will also see the evergreen forest known as the Teknaf Garjan Forest. From Cox’s Bazar, you can visit Himchari and Inani sea beaches via the Marine Drive Road by open jeep, microbus, CNG, or auto-rickshaw.
