Phulbari is a quiet village on the India-Bangladesh border in Lengura Union of Kalmakanda Upazila in Netrokona District. Flowing through the middle of the village is the Goneshwari River, which originates in the Indian state of Meghalaya and flows through the Garo Hills. Inside our border there are several hills and hillocks, and outside the border, as far as the eye can see, lies the mountain kingdom of Meghalaya. In that secluded place, surrounded by rows of countless mahogany trees, seven freedom fighters are buried. This place is known as Sat Shohider Mazar (Shrine of the Seven Martyrs).
