শোলাকিয়া ঈদগাহ ময়দান কিশোরগঞ্জ জেলা শহরে নরসুন্দা নদীর তীরে অবস্থিত বাংলাদেশ তথা উপমহাদেশের সর্ববৃহৎ ও ঐতিহ্যবাহী ঈদগাহ ময়দান। ১৮২৮ সাল থেকে এই মাঠে ঈদের জামাত অনুষ্ঠিত হয়ে আসছে। ৭ একর আয়তনের শোলাকিয়া ঈদগাহ (Sholakia Eidgah) মাঠে মোট ২৬৫ সারি আছে এবং প্রতি সারিতে প্রায় ছয়-সাতশ করে মুসল্লি দাঁড়াবার ব্যবস্থা আছে। সেই হিসেবে মাঠে এক লাখ ষাট থেকে আঁশি হাজার মানুষ নামাজ আদায় করতে পারেন। তবে প্রতিবছর ঈদুল ফিতরের সময় দেখা যায় মাঠে জায়গা সংকুলান না হওয়ায় চারপাশের খোলা জায়গা, আশপাশের সড়ক, আশেপাশের ঘর বাড়ির উঠানেও নামাজ আদায় করেন মুসল্লিরা। এভাবে প্রায় তিন লাখ মুসল্লি ঈদের নামাজ পড়ে থাকেন। দেশের নানা প্রান্ত থেকে ও বিদেশ থেকে অনেক মুসুল্লির আগমনে এ মাঠের ঈদের জামাতের মর্যাদা অনেক বেড়ে গেছে। এমনকি বহু পর্যটক এই অভূতপূর্ব মহামিলনের সময়টি দেখার দেখার জন্যে শোলাকিয়ায় উপস্থিত হয়।
Sholakia Eidgah Maidan is the largest and most traditional Eidgah ground in Bangladesh and the Indian subcontinent, located on the banks of the Narsunda River in the Kishoreganj district town. Eid congregations have been held on this ground since 1828. Covering an area of 7 acres, the Sholakia Eidgah has a total of 265 rows, with each row accommodating about six to seven hundred worshippers. Accordingly, between 160,000 and 180,000 people can offer prayers on the ground. However, during Eid-ul-Fitr every year, due to lack of space on the ground, worshippers also offer prayers in the surrounding open areas, nearby roads, and the courtyards of adjacent houses. In this way, about 300,000 worshippers perform their Eid prayers. The arrival of numerous worshippers from various parts of the country and abroad has greatly enhanced the prestige of the Eid congregation on this ground. Many tourists even visit Sholakia to witness this extraordinary grand gathering.
