Jogdol Rajbari is located in a place called Jogdol, about 8 kilometers away from Nekmarad in Ranishankil Upazila of Thakurgaon District. It is believed that the royal palace was built by Sri Birendra Kumar, the prince of Jogdol, around the mid-19th century at the confluence of the Nagar and Tiranai rivers. Currently, not much remains except for the ruins of the traditional palace and a temple located 100 meters away on the bank of the Nagar River. The books from the personal library of the education-enthusiast Sri Birendra Kumar were donated in 1948 to the then Surendranath College (currently Dinajpur Government College).
