ঠাকুরগাঁও সদর উপজেলা থেকে ২০ কিলোমিটার পশ্চিমে ভাউলারহাটের কাছে ঐতিহাসিক শালবাড়ি মসজিদ (Shalbari Mosque) অবস্থিত। শালবাড়ি মসজিদের থেকে প্রাপ্ত শিলালিপির তথ্যানুসারে, ১২১৫ বঙ্গাব্দে এই মসজিদটি নির্মাণ করা হয়। পরবর্তীতে সংস্কারের ফলে মসজিদটির মূল নকশায় বিপুল পরিবর্তন সাধিত হয়। শালবাড়ি মসজিদ থেকে কিছুটা দূরে ভগ্নাবস্থায় একটি ইমামবাড়া (Imambara) রয়েছে। শালবাড়ি মসজিদ ও ইমামবাড়া এ দুটি স্থাপনাকে সমসাময়িক বলে ধারণা করা হয়। ইমামবাড়ার বাইরের অংশের দৈর্ঘ্য ১৯ ফুট ৬ ইঞ্চি এবং প্রস্থ ১৩ ফুট। এছাড়া পূর্ব ও পশ্চিম দিকের দেয়ালে ২টি করে ৪টি এবং উত্তর ও দক্ষিণে ১ করে ২টি দরজা রয়েছে। ইমামবাড়াতে বিভিন্ন ধরণের ধর্মীয় অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হয়ে থাকে।
The historic Shalbari Mosque is located near Bhaularhat, 20 kilometers west of Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila. According to an inscription found at the Shalbari Mosque, it was built in 1215 BS. Subsequent renovations brought significant changes to the mosque’s original design. A short distance from the Shalbari Mosque lies a dilapidated Imambara. The Shalbari Mosque and the Imambara are believed to be contemporary structures. The exterior of the Imambara is 19 feet 6 inches long and 13 feet wide. Additionally, there are 4 doors on the east and west walls (2 on each side) and 2 doors on the north and south (1 on each side). Various religious ceremonies are held in the Imambara.
