সুনামগঞ্জ জেলার দক্ষিণ সুনামগঞ্জ উপজেলার পাগলা বাজার নামক স্থানে মহাসিং নদীর তীরে শতবর্ষ পুরনো স্থাপত্য নিদর্শন পাগলা বড় জামে মসজিদ (Pagla Jame Masjid) অবস্থিত। স্থানীয়ভাবে এটি রায়পুর বড় জামে মসজিদ নামে পরিচিত। ১৯৩১ সালে স্থানীয় ব্যবসায়ী ইয়াসীন মির্জা ভারত থেকে দক্ষ স্থপতি মুমিন আস্তাগারের মধ্যমে পাগলা বড় জামে মসজিদের নির্মাণ কাজ শুরু করেন। ১৩৩১ বঙ্গাব্দের ৫ই আশ্বিন শুক্রবার মসজিদের ভিত্তিপ্রস্তর স্থাপন করা হয়। টানা দশ বছর কাজ চলার পর মসজিদটি বর্তমান রুপ লাভ করে। দ্বিতল এই মসজিদের মসজিদের দৈর্ঘ্য ১৫০ মিটার এবং প্রস্থ ৫০ মিটার। মসজিদের ছাদের ২৫ ফুট উচ্চতার ৩টি গম্বুজ ও ৬টি সুউচ্চ মিনার রয়েছে।
Pagla Boro Jame Masjid is a century-old architectural landmark located on the banks of the Mahasing River at Pagla Bazar in South Sunamganj Upazila of Sunamganj District. Locally it is known as Raipur Boro Jame Masjid. In 1931, local businessman Yasin Mirza initiated the construction of the mosque through skilled architect Mumin Astagar from India. The foundation stone of the mosque was laid on Friday, the 5th of Ashwin, 1331 BS. After ten years of continuous work, the mosque attained its present form. This two-story mosque is 150 meters long and 50 meters wide. The roof of the mosque features 3 domes with a height of 25 feet and 6 tall minarets.
