কবি চন্দ্রাবতী বাংলা ভাষার প্রথম মহিলা কবি হিসাবে স্বীকৃত। চন্দ্রাবতী ১৫৫০ সালে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। বাবা দ্বিজবংশী দাশ বিখ্যাত কাব্য ‘মনসা মঙ্গল’ এর রচয়িতা এবং কবির মায়ের নাম সুলোচনা। কিশোরগঞ্জ শহর থেকে মাত্র ৬ কিলোমিটার দূরে পাতোয়াইর গ্রামের ফুলেশ্বরী নদীর পাশে কারুকার্য মন্ডিত দুটি শিবমন্দির রয়েছে। এই মন্দিরই কবি চন্দ্রাবতী শিব মন্দির বা কবি চন্দ্রাবতী মন্দির হিসাবে খ্যাত। ধারণা করা হয় এই মন্দিরগুলোর সাথে কবির জীবনের বিভিন্ন ঘটনার অনেক সম্পৃক্ততা রয়েছে। মন্দিরের কাছেই দর্শনার্থীদের বসার জন্য ব্যবস্থা করা রয়েছে। প্রতিদিন বিকালবেলা ও বিভিন্ন ছুটির দিনে অনেক মানুষ কবি চন্দ্রাবতী মন্দির দেখতে আসেন। মন্দিরের পাশেই রয়েছে কবি চন্দ্রাবতীর প্রায় ধ্বংসপ্রাপ্ত বাড়ি। চন্দ্রাবতী মন্দির নিয়ে ভিডিও চিত্র দেখতে এইখানে ক্লিক করুন।
Poet Chandravati is recognized as the first female poet of the Bengali language. Chandravati was born in 1550. Her father, Dwija Banshi Das, was the author of the famous epic ‘Manasa Mangal’, and her mother’s name was Sulochana. Located just 6 kilometers from Kishoreganj town, beside the Phuleshwari River in Patowair village, stand two intricately crafted Shiva temples. These temples are renowned as the Poet Chandravati Shiva Temple or Poet Chandravati Temple. It is believed that these temples are closely connected to various events in the poet’s life. Seating arrangements for visitors are available near the temple. Every afternoon and on various holidays, many people visit to see the Poet Chandravati Temple.
