চাঁদপুর জেলার হাজীগঞ্জে অবস্থিত শৈল্পিক কারুকার্যময় হাজীগঞ্জ ঐতিহাসিক বড় মসজিদটি আয়তনের দিক দিয়ে উপমহাদেশের সর্ববৃহৎ মসজিদগুলোর মধ্যে অন্যতম। ১৩৩৭ বঙ্গাব্দে হাজী আহমদ আলী পাটোয়ারী হাজীগঞ্জ ঐতিহাসিক বড় মসজিদ (Hajigonj Boro Masjid) প্রতিষ্ঠা করেন। প্রায় ২৮,৪০০ বর্গফুট আয়তনের বিশাল এই মসজিদে একসাথে প্রায় ১০ হাজার মুসল্লী নামাজ আদায় করতে পারেন। আর বাংলাদেশে জুমাতুল বিদা’য়ার সবচেয়ে বড় জামাত এই মসজিদে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। বাংলাদেশের ৬ষ্ঠ বৃহৎ এই মসজিদে প্রায় ১৮৮ ফুট উঁচু দৃষ্টিনন্দন মিনার রয়েছে।
Located in Hajiganj, Chandpur district, the artistically crafted Hajiganj Historic Boro Masjid is one of the largest mosques in the subcontinent in terms of area. Hajiganj Historic Boro Masjid was established in 1337 BS by Haji Ahmad Ali Patwary. Spanning an area of approximately 28,400 square feet, this vast mosque can accommodate around 10,000 worshippers at a time for prayer. Furthermore, the largest congregation of Jumatul Vida in Bangladesh is held at this mosque. As the 6th largest mosque in Bangladesh, it features an aesthetically pleasing minaret that is about 188 feet tall.
