তরুণ প্রজন্মকে মহান স্বাধীনতা যুদ্ধের সঠিক ইতিহাস সম্পর্কে অবগত করার উদ্দেশ্যে ভোলার বাংলাবাজার এলাকায় তোফায়েল আহমেদ ট্রাস্টি বোর্ডের উদ্যোগে স্বাধীনতা জাদুঘর (Shadhinota Jadughor) গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে। স্বনামধন্য স্থপতি ফেরদৌস আহমেদ প্রায় এক একর জায়গার উপর নির্মিত ভোলার আকর্ষণীয় এই বিনোদন কেন্দ্রটি ডিজাইন করেন। স্বাধীনতা জাদুঘরে ব্রিটিশ বিরোধী আন্দোলন, ৫২ সালের ভাষা আন্দোলন, ৫৪ সালের যুক্তফ্রন্ট নির্বাচন, ৬২ সালের ছাত্র আন্দোলন, ৬৬ সালের ছয় দফা, ৬৯ সালের গণঅভ্যুত্থান, ৭০ সালের নির্বাচন এবং ৭১ সালের মহান মুক্তিযুদ্ধের সম্পূর্ণ ইতিহাস সংরক্ষিত আছে। এছাড়া এখানে তথ্য ভিত্তিক ভিডিও এবং দুর্লভ ছবির সংগ্রহ দেখে বাংলাদেশের ইতিহাস সম্পর্কে জ্ঞানার্জনের সুযোগ রয়েছে।
To inform the younger generation about the true history of the Great Liberation War, the Shadhinota Jadughor (Independence Museum) has been established in the Bangla Bazar area of Bhola through the initiative of the Tofail Ahmed Trustee Board. Renowned architect Ferdous Ahmed designed this attractive recreation center in Bhola, built on about one acre of land. The Independence Museum preserves the complete history of the anti-British movement, the 1952 Language Movement, the 1954 United Front election, the 1962 student movement, the 1966 Six-Point movement, the 1969 mass uprising, the 1970 election, and the 1971 Great Liberation War. Visitors also have the opportunity to learn about the history of Bangladesh by viewing informative videos and rare collections of photographs here.
