চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জ জেলার শিবগঞ্জ উপজেলার শাহবাজপুর ইউনিয়নে ছোট সোনা মসজিদ প্রাঙ্গনে চির নিদ্রায় শায়িত আছেন সাতজন বীরশ্রেষ্ঠের মধ্যে অন্যতম শহীদ ক্যাপ্টেন মহিউদ্দিন জাহাঙ্গীর। বরিশালের রহমতগঞ্জ গ্রামে জন্মগ্রহন করা বাংলার এই বীর সন্তান ১৯৭১ সালে মহানন্দা নদীর কাছে শত্রুর প্রতিরক্ষা ব্যবস্থা ধ্বংস করাকালীন প্রতিপক্ষ শত্রুর বুলেটের আঘাতে শহীদ হন। ঢাকা সেনানিবাসের প্রধান ফটক জাহাঙ্গীর গেইটের নামকরন করা হয়েছে মহান এই বীরশ্রেষ্ঠের সম্মানে।
Shaheed Captain Mohiuddin Jahangir, one of the seven Bir Shresthas, rests in eternal peace on the premises of the Chhota Sona Mosque in Shahbajpur Union of Shibganj Upazila in Chapainawabganj District. Born in the village of Rahmatganj in Barishal, this valiant son of Bengal was martyred by enemy bullets in 1971 while destroying enemy defense positions near the Mahananda River. The main gate of Dhaka Cantonment, Jahangir Gate, was named in honor of this great Bir Shreshtha.
