কালের বিবর্তনে জমিদারী প্রথার বিলুপ্তি ঘটলেও কুমিল্লা জেলার মুরাদনগরে অবস্থিত জাহাপুর জমিদার বাড়ি (Jahapur Zamidar Bari) ইতিহাসের সাক্ষী হয়ে আজো টিকে আছে। জাহাপুর গ্রামের প্রায় ৪০০ বছর আগে গৌরি মোহনের হাত ধরে এই জমিদার বাড়িটি নির্মিত হলেও ১৮৬২ খিস্টাব্দে এই বাড়িতে জমিদারীর গোড়াপত্তন হয়। ঢাকা জেলার সরোজী মহালের জমিদার রাধিকা মোহন দাস হতে শ্রী গৌরি মোহন রায়ের মাধ্যমে এই পরিবার জমিদারী লাভ করেন।
Although the zamindari system has faded away with the passage of time, Jahapur Zamidar Bari, located in Muradnagar of Comilla district, still stands today as a witness to history. Although this zamindar house in Jahapur village was built about 400 years ago by Gouri Mohan, the zamindari officially began here in 1862 AD. This family acquired the zamindari through Sri Gouri Roy from Radhika Mohan Das, the zamindar of Saroji Mahal in Dhaka district.
