‘বিরুলিয়া’ তুরাগ নদীর তীরবর্তী ছোট্ট একটি গ্রামের নাম। ঢাকা শহরের অত্যন্ত কাছের এই বিরুলিয়া গ্রাম দশটিরও অধিক ঐতিহ্যবাহী স্থাপনার জন্য সুপরিচিত। বিরুলিয়া গ্রামের শেষ প্রান্তে আছে জমিদার রজনীকান্ত ঘোষের বাড়ি, যা বর্তমানে বিরুলিয়া জমিদার বাড়ি (Birulia Jamidar Bari) নামে পরিচিত। ঢাকার কাছে অবস্থান হওয়ায় ইতিহাসের সাক্ষী প্রত্নতাত্ত্বিক ঐতিহ্য বিরুলিয়া জমিদার বাড়ি দেখতে অনেকেই ছুটে যান।
‘Birulia’ is the name of a small village on the banks of the Turag River. Located very close to Dhaka city, the village of Birulia is well known for more than ten traditional structures. At the far end of Birulia village stands the house of Zamindar Rajanikanta Ghosh, currently known as Birulia Jamidar Bari. Because of its close proximity to Dhaka, many people rush to visit the archaeological heritage of Birulia Jamidar Bari, which bears witness to history.
