The historic Bhatpara Neelkuthi is located in Bhatpara under Saharbati Union of Gangni Upazila in Meherpur District. Built in 1859, Bhatpara Neelkuthi was constructed using bricks, lime-surki, iron beams, and terracotta tiles. Situated on the banks of the Kazla River and bearing witness to the torture by British traders, the Bhatpara Neelkuthi measures 80 feet in length and 70 feet in width. Besides the main lodge, a prison, a death well, and a horse stable still survive in a dilapidated state today, serving as reminders of the history of brutality.
