মেহেরপুর জেলা সদরের কাছে বড় বাজারে প্রাচীন আমলের শ্রী শ্রী সিদ্ধেশরী কালী মন্দির (Sree Sree Siddheshwari Kali Mandir) অবস্থিত। স্থানীয় হিন্দুদের কাছে এটি জেলা কেন্দ্রীয় মন্দির হিসেবে পরিচিত। ১৯৭১ সালে মুক্তিযুদ্ধের সময় পাকিস্থানি হানাদার বাহিনী ও তাদের দোসররা এই মন্দির আক্রমণ করে মন্দিরের ভিতরের বালা দেবীর বিগ্রহটি গুড়িয়ে দেয়। স্বাধীনতার পর স্থানীয় হিন্দুরা পুনরায় মন্দিরের অভ্যন্তরে মূর্তি স্থাপন করে নিয়মিত পূজা অর্চনা শুরু করেন। প্রতি বছরই এই কালী মন্দিরে কালী পূজা, দূর্গা পূজা ও সরস্বতী পূজাসহ হিন্দু ধর্মাবলম্বীদের বিভিন্ন আচার-অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হয়ে থাকে। বৈশাখ মাসের শেষ সংক্রান্তিতে শ্রী শ্রী সিদ্ধেশরী কালী মন্দিরকে ঘিরে বৈশাখ সংক্রান্তির মেলা বসে। সেসময় সারাদেশের বিভিন্ন স্থান থেকে অসংখ্য আগ্রহী দর্শনার্থীরা মেলা দেখতে আসেন।
The ancient Sree Sree Siddheshwari Kali Mandir is located near the Boro Bazar close to the Meherpur district headquarters. It is known among local Hindus as the central district temple. During the Liberation War in 1971, the Pakistani occupying forces and their collaborators attacked the temple and smashed the idol of Bala Devi inside. After independence, local Hindus reinstalled the idol inside the temple and resumed regular worship. Every year, various Hindu religious rituals including Kali Puja, Durga Puja, and Saraswati Puja are organized at this Kali temple. On the last day of the Bengali month of Baisakh, the Baisakh Sankranti fair is held around the Sree Sree Siddheshwari Kali Mandir. At that time, numerous interested visitors from all over the country come to see the fair.
