আলেকজান্ডার ক্যাসেল (Alexander Castle) ময়মনসিংহ শহরের প্রাণকেন্দ্রে অবস্থিত একটি প্রাচীন ঐতিহ্যবাহী স্থাপনা। ১৮৭৯ সালে তৎকালীন মুক্তাগাছার মহারাজা সূর্যকান্ত আচার্য জেলা ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট আলেকজান্ডারের সম্পতি রক্ষার্থে এই প্রাসাদটি নির্মাণ করেছিলেন। সুদূর চীন থেকে আসা কারিগর দিয়ে কাঠ ও লোহার অপূর্ব সমন্বয়ে দৃষ্টিনন্দন এই প্রাসাদটি নির্মাণ করা হয়। প্রাসাদ তৈরীতে অত্যাধিক লোহার ব্যবহারের কারণে স্থানীয়দের কাছে এটি “লোহার কুঠি” নামে পরিচিতি পায়। সুন্দর শিল্পকর্ম ও নান্দনিকতায় পূর্ণ এই কুঠির প্রধান ফটকের সামনে দুইটি মার্বেল পাথরের মূর্তি এবং চারদিকে কয়েকটি নারীর ভাস্কর্য রয়েছে। দ্বিতল ভবনের ছাদে অভ্র ও চুমকি ব্যবহার করে প্রাসাদের ভিতরে ঠাণ্ডা রাখার ব্যবস্থা করা হয়েছিল। প্রাসাদের পিছনেই রয়েছে বিশালাকার পুকুর, ফুলের বাগান ও একটি কৃত্রিম হ্রদ।
Alexander Castle is an ancient heritage structure located in the heart of Mymensingh city. In 1879, the then Maharaja of Muktagacha, Suryakanta Acharya, built this palace to protect the property of District Magistrate Alexander. This eye-catching palace was built with an exquisite combination of wood and iron by craftsmen brought from far-away China. Due to the excessive use of iron in building the palace, it became known to the locals as “Lohar Kuthi” (Iron House). Full of beautiful artwork and aesthetics, this palace has two marble statues in front of its main gate and several female sculptures around it. A cooling system was arranged inside the palace by using mica and sequins on the roof of the two-story building. Behind the palace, there is a huge pond, a flower garden, and an artificial lake.
