আই বাঁধ (I Badh) রাজশাহী শহরের শ্রীরামপুর এলাকায় অবস্থিত একটি বাঁধ শহর রক্ষা। এই বাঁধটি দেখতে অনেকটা ইংরেজি বর্ণ ‘I’ এর মতো হওয়ায় এর নামকরণ করা হয়েছে ‘আই বাঁধ’। মূলত শহর রক্ষা ও ভাঙন রোধে এটি নির্মিত হলেও, এর নান্দনিক গঠন এবং নদীর বুকে সূর্যাস্তের মনোরম দৃশ্য দেখার সুযোগ বাঁধটিকে পর্যটকদের প্রধান আকর্ষণে পরিণত করেছে। নদীর বুকে প্রায় ৫০০ মিটার দীর্ঘ এই পাথুরে পথ দিয়ে হাঁটলে মনে হবে আপনি পদ্মার বুক চিরে এগিয়ে যাচ্ছেন। শরতের নীল আকাশ আর কাশফুল, কিংবা বর্ষার ভরা যৌবনা পদ্মা প্রতিটি ঋতুতেই আই বাঁধ তার ভিন্ন ভিন্ন রূপ নিয়ে ধরা দেয়। পরিবার বা বন্ধুদের নিয়ে বিকেল কাটানোর জন্য এটি রাজশাহীর সবচেয়ে সেরা জায়গা।
I Badh is a city protection embankment located in the Srirampur area of Rajshahi city. Because the embankment looks much like the English letter ‘I’, it was named ‘I Badh’. Although it was originally built to protect the city and prevent erosion, its aesthetic structure and the opportunity to watch the picturesque sunset over the river have made the embankment a major attraction for tourists. Walking along this roughly 500-meter-long stone path extending into the river makes you feel as though you are cutting right through the middle of the Padma. With autumn’s blue skies and catkins, or the monsoon’s full-flowing Padma, I Badh reveals its different facets in every season. This is Rajshahi’s best spot to spend an afternoon with family or friends.
