ঢাকা শহরের যান্ত্রিক কোলাহল থেকে দূরে, অপরূপ প্রকৃতির মাঝে একটি শান্ত বিকেল কাটাতে চাইলে বন্ধুবান্ধব বা পরিবার নিয়ে বেড়িয়ে আসতে পারেন কেরানীগঞ্জের সারিঘাট (Sarighat) থেকে। ঢাকার দক্ষিণ প্রান্তে বুড়িগঙ্গা ও ধলেশ্বরী নদীর অববাহিকায়, হাসনাবাদের বসুন্ধরা রিভারভিউ প্রজেক্টের ঠিক পেছনে এই দর্শনীয় স্থানটির অবস্থান। আইন্তা ও আড়াকুল এই দুই গ্রামের মধ্য দিয়ে বয়ে যাওয়া একটি খালের পাড় ধরে প্রায় এক কিলোমিটার এলাকা জুড়ে রোপণ করা হয়েছে সারি সারি করই গাছ। ছায়া সুনিবিড় এই করই গাছের চমৎকার সারির কারণেই স্থানটি প্রকৃতিপ্রেমীদের কাছে ‘সারিঘাট’ নামে পরিচিতি লাভ করেছে।
If you want to spend a quiet afternoon in stunning nature, far away from the mechanical bustle of Dhaka city, you can visit Sarighat in Keraniganj with friends or family. Located on the southern edge of Dhaka in the basin of the Buriganga and Dhaleshwari rivers, this scenic spot is situated right behind the Bashundhara Riverview Project in Hasnabad. Rows of koroi trees have been planted along a canal flowing between the two villages of Ainta and Arakul for about a kilometer. Because of this wonderful line of shady koroi trees, the place has become known to nature lovers as ‘Sarighat’.
